Book Sale + Museum Late Hours with Destination Books
The DeKalb History Center is partnering with Destination Books to offer a summer sale of books.
Destination: Books is a pop-up book stall based in the Atlanta area specializing in organic gardening – sustainability, books about books, history, nonfiction essays, and travel writing. The book shop’s proprietor-moderator is Murray Browne, who is the author of The Book Shopper: A Life in Review (2009) and A Father’s Letters: Connecting Past to Present (2023). Destination: Books also sells a few quirky and slightly used books online via Alibris.

Shop the DeKalb History Center’s large collection of books covering topics varying from the city of Doraville to African American life in DeKalb County to the history of Stone Mountain. Books will be available for purchase with prices varying from $1 – $100. Also available for sale are Historic DeKalb Courthouse Ornaments. DHC Members will receive an additional discount.
The book sale will take place in the lobby of the Historic DeKalb Courthouse.
Proceeds from the book sale will benefit Together – Opening September 25th.
