Archives Research 101: Identifying Images Workshop

 In
January 31, 2:00 - 4:00 pm

In this workshop, become a detective to identify, investigate, and GeoTag (identifying a location) your old photographs. Like the game Carmen Sandiego, every photo has clues in it. You will learn tips, tricks, and technology that can help you. Attendees will practice their investigative skills on DHC Archival Images and have the chance to test their skills on their unidentified images from home.

Attendees will need a laptop, tablet, or device for research. Attendees should also bring digital or physical images for research. If you do not have any unidentified images from home, we will provide DHC Archival Images for investigating.

A bonus tour of the archives, led by archivist Jennifer Blomqvist, will be given before the start of the workshop.
