DeKalb County is turning 200!
Grab your party hats and join the DeKalb History Center with a Bicentennial Birthday Bash!
This event will celebrate the opening of our newest exhibit, 200 Years of DeKalb.
The exhibit honors some of the people, places, and events that have contributed to the wide-ranging history of the county.
The Birthday Bash will feature hors d’oeuvres, birthday cake, cash bar, games, and the opening of the DHC’s 1997 Time Capsule.
Tickets – $25, includes hors d’oeuvres and birthday cake

Opening of the 1997 Time Capsule Details
Spiceworld: the Movie, Tamagotchi, Hale-Bop! Who knows what could be in this 1997 time capsule. You could be the “King of the World” and win a chance to open the time capsule. Purchase a raffle ticket to win the chance to open the capsule along side our Archivist.
How it works: Purchase a raffle ticket* and redeem your chances at the door on August 25th. Must be present to win.
*Your name will be on a list at the door with your ticket entries. Must be present and have a birthday party ticket on August 25 to redeem for a physical raffle ticket.
Time Capsule Tickets – $10 per chance/ 5 for $45
